My #1 Seahawks are playing my #2 team, the team of my youth, the Atlanta Falcons. For breakfast I made a large sausage and cheese baked grits casserole. And it smells like childhood.

This is a puntarelle, from the chicory family, like radichio, escarole... I've heard of it but hadn't seen one until today. Locally grown. I'm going to have it three ways, a salad, a saute, and grilled. I'm easily excited. Yum!

A few days ago, I made a big pot of chili. We had a bowl of that one night, then the next night we had chili dogs. I used the last of it at lunch today, to make huevos rancheros - an egg on toast, topped with chili. That finished off all the leftover chili, and it sure was good!

It was like a home coming, our longest stretch without my favorite taqueria in 5 years. Much deserved. I think the hubs was particularly hungry. 😂

It's the perfect weather for spicy red beans and rice. The best part was pulling the red beans out of the freeze, quick and easy, I just needed to cook rice. I'm really bad about forgetting what I froze. I want as little cooked food in the freezer by the year's end.

Ahh duck pancakes for dinner last night with some bubbles. Light and tasty. Very quick to make. I use things like this when busy or having unexpected visitors.

What a hot mess…but very robust and delicious. A thick burger on ciabatta roll with melted havarti cheese, sprouts, thousand island dressing, pickles, sauteed mushrooms and onions with leftover turkey dinner gravy. He’s it was good!..and messy

First time I read a recipe for Bigos or Polish Hunter's Stew, I thought it was so odd it had to be good. This version has kielbasa, bacon, chicken thigh, onion, sauerkraut, cabbage, carrot, prunes dry &fresh shrooms, diced tomatoes, tomato paste, carraway, marjoram, bay leaves, & juniper berries.
