It's been the best part of 28yrs now since the first time, but there's something special about the way that @mogwai.scot hit just at the point where it's needed.

I do think a bunch of Linux hobbyists could create a better NHS back-office infrastructure that plays nicer with the rest of their databases than an unnecessary Microsoft office suite does. But that's a different problem.

It was my first time. Just did Easy Life from that - it was Crackdown/Micro-Phonies heavy setlist wise but I think that tour was specifically to cover that era, but they reworked a bunch of stuff. Not sure how they'll mix it up for their final go around. It all sounded so new and fresh still.

Microsoft, especially with all the recent Gates stuff even though he's long gone, are definitely one I could see being swallowed up by someone. Co-pilot and Windows 11 have been such disasters. Apple have been much smarter by just kind of keeping back to see who wins.

I agree. Though this is where I think things are moving towards in the enterprise side of things, but maybe it'll be a whole/big chunks of company networks on a local AI.

Yeah, the article is 50% patronising guff and 50% interesting provocations. or maybe 75/25. But also AI isn't going the way of NFTs. I think a lot of companies are probably using it badly right now but the workplace specific apps that Google and Anthropic are moving towards will change things.

I am naively hopeful that this means that good human design will become more valuable.
