Frank Gehry designed IPAMβs home, the Portola Plaza Building, between 1973-1975. His last visit was in January of 2022, when he toured with IPAM directors Dima Shlyakhtenko and Christian Ratsch, who described him as βcurious, supportive, and passionate.β
