Yes, the global ocean might still have plenty of CO2-undersaturated waters. But do we want to live with the consequences, widespread ocean acidification? Also some coastal ocean ecosystems are already emitting CO2 regularly.

I recommend obsidian. It's all in markdown, so super portable. The program itself is quite powerful with zotero integration, embedded images, canvases for mind-maps, and you can tag&search your notes easily. And open source 😊

Good News! Canada is taking steps in the right direction and is increasing funding for grad students and postdocs.
It might be a bit late to affect my PhD, but at least the prospect of staying in Canada for a postdoc feels less like financial self-harm.

being able to open some screws, take out the dead battery, put in a new one and basically have a new computer in 10 minutes is one of the best feelings in the world.
