Mount Vernon hosts educator nights. They charge ($25, I think) for you to register. If you show, you get that money refunded. They used to do free nights but people registered and didn't show. This was their solution.

I don’t disagree with this. I also think we have to speak out against it because otherwise we’re saying it’s okay. They may not be thoughtful enough to do better but that doesn’t mean we have to be okay with it.

That too! Once you’re already in a turn lane, your turn signal is not doing its job. It’s supposed to tell me that you are getting into a turn lane!
