Radiochemistry is hard to explain for this reason. Stoichiometry of a reaction can be like 1,000,000:1 and it breaks people’s brains because units are like 1500 mCi which seems big but it’s also picomoles.

I would like one that sends bajillions of follow-up emails at progressively shorter time intervals and then adds my boss and the recipient’s boss to the chain. It would save me so much time and annoyance.

All the volunteers are mystified about why she hasn’t been snapped up! She IS perfect.

I kind of love the genre of ICE vs ice.

I am old enough that I remember taking so many film shots to be sure I got one decent one, and I’m no one’s idea of a good photographer. It’s still kind of amazing to me that digital is so good and easy.

It’s hard to tell, but this is three black cats snuggling together. Two daughters named Inky and Pinky and their mother, Pac Mama. Son Clyde is elsewhere, and son Blinky was adopted. The girls are very protective of their mama, who needed a lot of vet care.

This fine fellow is named Pedro Pusscal. He went home with his new humans late last week. I hope they keep his name.

Kitty? This guy isn’t an adorable little one. His name is Bullseye. He came to the rescue after being shot in the head with a dart (it narrowly missed every important structure). Needless to say, he’s got some trust issues, but he’s a survivor, and he’s beautiful.

We went to buy a dishwasher a few years ago, and the first two or three we’d planned to buy were backordered for like 8 months so we basically closed our eyes and pointed at one. It seems fine! I hope you have an easy time with happy outcomes.

3: if you can afford a little extra $, I recommend SuitSupply for custom measurements. Got a high schooler a suit there for senior year things, and they got good use out of it.

That is such hard work. I’m sorry. I have one or two reminders of my grandparents but there was so much stuff. Dad downsized aggressively when Mom died, so I’m not expecting too much to sort. (Technically his new wife gets all belongings, but if he outlives her, it’s back to his kids.)

A coworker uses a LLM to draft protocols and estimate risks for new processes in a lab setting. She then gives it to me to check as a technical expert. The LLM makes assumptions that render its estimates useless for our purposes, but it does correctly state the assumption, at least.
