Choosing a cover layout. What do you think?

Creatives, what flatbed printer do you have at home? I’m looking for something slim and sleek that scans 11x17 color.

How many of you bought the Lakers/Jazz tickets for hundreds of dollars when you thought LeBron was retiring? Imagine buying JAZZ tickets for $400 a piece and it’s the last game of the season when it probably doesn’t matter for rankings

I’ve got a giant storyline coming, plus I need to finish part 2 of Paradise Hills and draw the next issue of Wanderers of Melisanda. I really do have to stay focused on the priority of the issue and storyline in front of me.

I’m using this time to work on that issue, but I don’t want to feel rushed or give away so much of what I’m doing.

Maybe I’ll come back to DRAWtober next year, but maybe not.

A lot of the time I was working on 2 parters in the regular series, so I’d have to skip to the next available number, creating gaps. Heck, I just finished 2 DRAWtober issues that were 15&16, all while issue 14 hasn’t been drawn.

5 years ago I did my first DRAWtober, turning each year into fully formed comic books. This is the first time since then I’m taking it off. Most of the time I worked on 2nd Shift stories and they’d end up messing with my number count.

Peacemaker sn 2 was solid and it got better in the 2nd half (I think theres one more to go). First half was tough to get through, but could be just me. I’m not a fan of characters having to pretend they’re someone else w/ the looming threat of them getting caught. It’s just not my fav plot device.

Alien Earth was awesome. If you’re a fan of the franchise or even just the first two movies you’ll dig this series. The retro futuristic feel of the world goes hand in hand with the original movies. I need more!

Putting some 2nd Shift slipcases together for @filamcreatorcon! I haven’t done this in a bit, as I was running out of volume 0. Now that they’re on the way and should be arriving tomorrow, let’s get to building and packing! #2ndShift #ScottLost

I also didn’t do a Kickstarter for this volume, so I’ve been paying out of pocket and just doing small orders of 25-50 copies at a time. It wasn’t cost effective and I was tired of paying for the shipping, so I decided to get a bigger order.

Final colors for 2nd Shift vol 0 redux! This re-release volume will have updated and added dialogue, along w/ refined lettering. When @eburonson & I created these issues we were still learning the craft (still are), but I wanted to make sure we were putting our best foot forward.

I’ve cut back on listening to interviews and podcasts because of it. How annoying it is to me cannot be expressed in words.

Imagine reading a book or watching a movie with a character doing this nonstop. It’s bad english and bad writing.

Be better.

Punctuating your sentences with the word “right” has infected so many people in media and life. People seem to be using it as a way to try and make you agree with what they’re saying, as opposed to you questioning them. Just because you say “right” doesnt make it right.

Finally catching up on ‘What we do in the Shadows’ and I’m flying through it! No idea what’s been taking me so long So damn good!

Finished inks to 2nd Shift volume 0 redux! I’m really happy with how this cover came out. It has a lot of energy to it and I feel like my linework is evolving. The thing I’d like to focus on is getting some movement on the page. Giving it some animated qualities within a single image. #2ndShift
