That's just how your brain is wired, just like how depression rewired mine

I try to think more ahead of when I'm speaking to try to accommodate interjections lol

Thinking now I think it's moreso allowing me to stop myself is what I'm finding issue with

If I'm allowed to pause myself interjections don't phase me, it's the pop up mid speech that's jarring 🤣

Cause what are you responding to if I haven't finished the entire thought???

I'm mad okay with that, cause It'll allow me to pause to ask you your thoughts so I can put a mental bookmark on what I was talking about 😂

As soon as you speak my brain switches to listening mode, and then when I've listened and given response I've completely forgotten the main subject as the interjection makes my brain think we've moved on

Like, I get it, in that moment you have to get the idea out before it fizzes away, I fully understand

I just wish I could complete my thoughts faster as to allow that

For me, as I'm speaking I'm thinking, as I choose my words as I'm saying them

It's all stream of consciousness, interrupting me ain't just interrupting my speech, but a thought as well

Imagine having your brain constantly handbraked while you're trying to use it and you'll get why it frustrates me

That and it drives me up the wall to be interrupted when I speak because EVERYONE fucking does it.

Culturally I'm much more used to what they call 'cooperative overlapping' communication. We go back and forth like playing tennis, at the very least at lot of interjections to show active listening. I had to work on different communication styles when I left home.
