But maybe I should also do my holiday shopping 😱

I just keep reminding myself that I have to get through my last semester.

And I can do that.

And I am still (hopefully) waiting on some contact from the local college about the adjunct job but each day that goes by without a call is bumming me out.

I got to march with the sixth grade band in the holiday parade tonight and then attend the high school band's holiday concert.

I have to bake something for the band's bake sale this weekend.

I still have to read all my workshop pieces.

My residency part of my new semester of my MFA program starts tomorrow (I'm attending virtually), and I'm trying to get in the mindset for it, but I'm failing spectacularly.

I decided to sign up to bake treats for the holiday concert concessions AND to bake a cheesecake for the holiday bake sale for the band.

Y'all, I enjoy baking. I don't do it often.

I don't appreciate high stakes baking like this.

It's not making me crawl the ceilings but it's not NOT making me crawl the ceilings either.

I'm the kind of anxious that only happens after the HR person says, "You'll likely hear from us soon" and I haven't yet.

And I was wearing my Edna Mode-glasses but my tattoos were covered by a sweater.

I needed them to know a little of what they are getting into here.

Just don't mention the giant skeletons in my yard and everything will be cool.

Okay, now, I gotta hope they interview me and I can act like a normal person long enough for them to offer me a job.

I am tentatively excited about it.

Having a bad sensory day and trying decide if I need to change my shirt again. Sigh.
