Regardless it’s hard to see something that was treated as novel and expected by even my parents generation devolve into luck or generational wealth being passed on. I’m saddened that real estate is inaccessible to most who need it

I really hate to say it but renting continues to be just the most sensible option (note that sensible is doing a bit of lifting here). All the liability falls to the landlord and while I’m not generating equity, I’m also not held to that spot for anything more than breaking a lease.

I miss the days of horse armor and now that statement just depresses me that it’s been said.
