In support of Stand Up For Science, enjoy this science:
Stars that go supernova are responsible for creating many of the elements of the periodic table (e.g. C, Fe), including those that make up our bodies
You & I are both made up of the same star dust
Stop funding wars and start funding science

If I have to attend another keynote presentation that uses AI generated infographics and images of people (trained on stock images, making it just look like an uncanny stock imageโso just use a stock image?)
I miss the days of taking our own photos, slides that are too busy, and the occasional typo.
Thanks! :)
01.03.2026 02:09 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Itโs my 33rd birthday! Here are some of my favourite things: skiing, trail running, beading, and learning new things! I played piano a little as a kid and decided yesterday that I would rent a keyboard and give it another go.

This study of 4,800 Swedish teens shows screen time disrupts sleep, and those sleep changes drive higher depressive symptomsโespecially for girls. Strong evidence that youth mental health policy needs to focus on sleep as much as screens.
