I find it a little bit strange that so many gaming companies and media outlets are sort of. Up in arms about silksong being released short notice. Because 1, it’s called competition. But 2, oblivion remastered was teased and released on the same day. And nobody said a god damned thing. So wtf?

How hard would it be to make a new payment processor? I am part of an IT school rn and I'm certain I could get enough ppl to make a system similar to what Japan uses where you can scan a barcode to pay for an item. Like this

I normally don't partake in this stuff in a post. But @collectiveshout.bsky.social I hope you know that Mr. Rogers defended the VCR when that came out because it could MAKE MEDIA ACCESSIBLE. And doing that inadvertantly allowed the Adult Movie industry to become privatized for home enjoyment.

Update on the GPU wars. AMD launch went well, but turns out their original MSRP is not the final one and it was just an earlybird special. But even so if the price of the 9070xt is not 1000$ it's still a better deal, but I would say 800$ or more is pushing it. I may eat my words but $750 is good :/

And the overpricing is just on top of the fact the 50 series is a hot mess of a launch, so many problems. AMD fixed their driver stuff and nowadays their cards aren't trash for VR. So NVIDIA is not the way forward with their fake frames. If we buy 50 series we're going to end up in a software lock

I feel the need to say to everyone who cares about PC parts. Don't buy NVIDIA cards anymore, they're massively overpriced, And while the new AMD card is not great and fell short, for 600$ it is a very good card. 60FPS in cyberpunk with all the stuff cranked up is quite good.
