One of the things I liked about HARROW THE NINTH is that God and His Lyctors have been living in each other’s pockets for so long that they’re all fucked up, they love and hate each other in equal measure, do horrible things and forgive each other afterwards.

Every study about vaccines that comes out is like "this vaccine is 97% effective at preventing this disease & also 3 other diseases & it somehow helps you play the violin beautifully" and antivaxxers are doing their own research that's telling them they can cure measles by eating polar bear liver.

New mug! This one has a very good handle, I’m pleased because handles are still something I’m getting a handle on. Plus I’m pleased to learn that I can get a decent effect with the transparent green celadon glaze on my darker clay if I use a second coat. It’s got some lovely bluish bits in it.

Seeing all these adverts for AI slop spigots (eg Grammarly) … I wonder if, when the bubble bursts, we’ll see similar ads selling retraining for people who’ve been ruining their brains relying on it?

I’m reading “A City On Mars” by Kelly and Zach Weinersmith (of Saturday Morning Breakfast Cereal fame). It’s an engaging read and a good look at all the many, *many* problems with the idea of space colonies.
