In nearly all countries surveyed, more people say that others in their country have somewhat or very good morals than say their compatriots display somewhat or very bad levels of morality. The United States is the only place we surveyed where more adults (ages 18 and older) describe the morality and ethics of others living in the country as bad (53%) than as good (47%). Because we have never asked this question before, we don’t know whether a majority of Americans have long held a skeptical view of the ethics of fellow Americans, or if it’s something new – and if so, what’s driving it. But partisan politics appear to play a role.

This sh*t doesn’t happen in other rich countries that are actual democracies, where people just vote, all major parties refrain from lying about mass voter fraud & constant attempts at mass disenfranchisement, & everyone’s vote just gets cast & counted. We don’t have to live this way, either.

And they did it at the request of the Republican attorney general, who is on the ballot.

Republicans ended the ability to vote at any polling place in Dallas County TX in this election. Many voters went to the wrong location & couldn’t vote.

A lower court extended voting hours, but the all-GOP Texas Supreme Court intervening may disenfranchise voters & undermine confidence in elections

Honestly speed it up, so we can separate the slop mills from the places that slow down and let humans do real reporting and investigations again.
