βStarmer's EU deal is a big break in the suffocating Brexit consensus that has held Britain back for a decade. For the first time a UK government is doing things to actually undo the damage of Brexit, rather than increase it. For that alone it should be welcomedβ π

Please people, get someone to check parts of your body you can't see for melanoma.
See your doctor if worried.
Caught early it's a small procedure.
Mine was UNDER my foot, not seen until big and spread to lymph nodes, requiring surgery, radiotherapy and immunotherapy.

"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
Trump's either a traitor or simply not very able.
Corrupt or incompetent?
Or both?
Minor aside: the number of MRI machines in hospitals in France might not include those in hospital-associated private clinics and specialised imaging centres, some of which may be covered by state funding.
10.05.2025 13:35 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Chart showing number of hospital beds (left panel) and MRI units in hospitals (right panel), per million people: OECD countries, 2020-22. The UK has the second lowest number of hospital beds per million inhabitants out of advanced economies in the OECD at just 2,300, two thousand fewer beds than the OECD average of 4,300 (left panel). And in terms of higher-tech health capital, the UK also performs relatively poorly in terms of the number of MRI scanners per thousand people, sitting at just under two-thirds of the OECD average (right panel).
While the UK's health spending is substantial, it does not appear to be particularly capital-intensive.
Compared to our OECD peers, we have fairly low numbers of hospital beds and MRI scanners relative to the population
Don't look now but their ignorance is showing. π

Same in the UK. Labour govts produce fewer and lower deficits than Tories and better response to economic pressure for majority of population.
Sadly the media are owned by the rich, who benefit most under the right-whingers.
Trump is going to blame Biden. Usually this would be a reasonable response as there is a 12-18 month delay of response to economic boosts or constraints.
However big cuts in employment, investment and purchasing power can hit faster, especially when anticipated since November.
