The only way for the EBU to get out of the debacle about Israel's participation in Eurovision or not, would probably be to give Palestine a guest invitation to participate, so that they, like Israel, can sing about the pain that the war has caused them.

Eurovision har alltid varit politisk, ta Portugals frihetsrevolt 1974, Ukrainas vinnarbidrag 2016 eller den bojkott som ledde till att bara 12 länder deltog 1970. Svt agerar ryggradslöst och ynkligt. Själv hoppas jag på ett artistuppror bland deltagarna i Mello; att vinnaren stannar hemma från Wien.

I'm no expert neither, but I think the EU updated their demands as late as this spring. They won in court against the big IT companies, wich angered the American president to a certain degree.
