"Don't tell anyone" πŸ˜… but we need to know
Peaceful demonstration sending a clear message.
Heed it or continue to witness escalation.
We, the people, will not tolerate what is happening.

The biggest thing we need to do is let people know that the protests are FUN. Yelling fuck the man is fun. You will meet fun people.

We also need to make them more fun. Bring grills like the French. Bring instruments like it’s Mardi Gras. Give people a reason to spend their weekend in the streets.

They’re fun and they’re energizing! It’s one thing to see the pics and know people are fighting back, but the encouragement & contagious optimism is VISCERAL when you are there. Does a lot to counteract the depression & anxiety of living through this time

Citizens want to be more protected by the EU.

According to a recent Eurobarometer survey, 66% of EU citizens want the EU to take a more important role in protecting them against global crises and security risks.

This view is particularly strong amongst younger Europeans.

An old grandpa smilodon with ragged hair, wearing a short-sleeved sweater and smoking a pipe is sitting on a cozy armchair. He says, in a happy remembering way: "Heh heh, you wouldn't believe how much has happened during my long career!". Behind him are framed images from his career. These include, from bottom left to upper right, a signed photo of a female smilodon filmstar, an image of a "sabertooth tiger" facing a neanderthal, an image of a Smilodon roaring at a cliff, and a slobbery faced Smilodon with fully concealed saber teeth.

Smilodon, an old star of paleomedia and paleoart of many sorts, is more than happy to tell stories of his work to anyone who can (or vaguely appears to) listen.
And to be fair to him, he has seen many things happen during his tenure

I saw it in 2017 at the women's march. Honestly, I feel jaded and cynical about this. We've been doing these mass protests for 8 plus years and somehow we're still worse off. Power doesn't care about peaceful protests like this. They can be ignored and will be.

There were very large crowds at the #HandsOff rallies against the Trump regime that took place in cities and towns across the USA today, likely millions participating overall.

It's good to see this level of mobilisation happening, they've got a fight on their hands to keep their republic.

Spider-Man: "You have a pro-grade kit, and you're using it for nature and astrophotography? But with gear like that you could make good money shooting portraits and weddings!"

Sauron, a humanoid pterodactyl: "But I don't want to shoot portraits or weddings. I want to do nature and astrophotography."

Autistic stimming explained – and why stopping it can lead to burnout Many autistic people engage repetitive movements, sounds, or actions that help them regulate their emotions and sensory experiences.

"Stimming – short for β€œself-stimulatory behaviour” – is a form of self-soothing commonly seen in autistic people. If you see an autistic child or adult stimming, there’s no need to comment or intervene. From @draimeegrant.bsky.social:
