Wilson Blade is the truth

I will still keep the Speed MP in my rotation but it definitely needs a different string configuration for me.

While I love all of my Head racquets, and debated on committing to the new Radical MP, I have decided to main the Wilson Blade 98 v9 (18x20). I demoed it and it felt amazing. Happy birthday to me.

And let’s not forget about the illusion that becoming “pro” is attainable for anyone. Magic has too many variables to adequately train for unless you just plan on staying inside all the time. The nature of the game doesn’t care how much time you put in. The top of the deck can ruin that at any time.

Constant cycle of terrible format, hoping for bans/unbans, bans/unbans happen, format devolves into worse format, more hope for bans, yada yada yada. Who truly wins? Probably the corporation selling you product at an ever-increasing frequency with cards you have to get to keep up.

Competitive Magic: the Gathering is a trap and waste of time. The format(s) will never be healthy/fun enough unless you enjoy degenerate and awful play patterns. Tournaments are basically gambling w/ a side of mental gymnastics. Glad I got out.

Played my first two doubles matches today. Lost both but started to find a rhythm in the second set of the second match. Getting better every time, stoked for the next one.
