My respect for a bookstore always increases when I see it has a local author section. Big or small doesn't matter. If I see highlighting the voices around you is important to you, it immediately becomes important to me.

If you're hinting beautifully toward Readercon, I'm not going this year. This is my year off cons, something I've been wanting for several years now. (No books or games out this year was my EXCUSE!) The exception is GenCon, because Carlos made big eyes at me. But if you'll be in NYC...!!!

LOL. You're still doing it! I know, because I do it. But I must practice constantly not to, or else Carlos makes sad eyes at me. And gets righteously furious on my behalf.

The Authors Guild is now offering "Human Authored" certification marks for literary works in which "the text itself was fully authored by one or more human beings and not generated by AI." What a time to be alive!

Final typographic checks are always important to the layout. In this example the lines on the right justified side of this paragraph need some changes. The repetition of "had" "had" and the d in "laughed" and the "own" rhymes should be adjusted so the eye isn't drawn to the patterns in the text
