“Aliya’s Rose” (remastered) Drawn and digitally painted on Procreate. The shadows on this version are more inset into the flower, as well as a harsher highlights. This version looks much more softer than the physical media counterpart. By: Cruzer Meuse

“Aliya’s Rose” (original) Drawn with fine liners and coloured with Copic Markers. This version the colours are much more vibrant, going from a Light Pink colour to a Dark Fuscia. In this piece the rose looks a lot more sporadic as the Copic Markers tapering was used to define petal shapes. The middle section looks slightly better, and the highlights leave much to be desired. The Rose site atop a green stem, with similar shading to the petals. The Stem comes from within a turquoise rectangle. The Rectangle both frames the Rose as well as acts as a window for the rose to come out of. Two leaves split in a diagonal direction from the stem. One leaf pushes further back disappearing into the limits of the Turquiose frame. The other pushes forward and breaks out of the Turqoise frame, as does the top of the Rose. This was intended to make it seem as though the flower is rising out of the Turqoise frame. This piece was a collaboration by Cruzer Meuse and Aliya.
