An innocent man who committed no crime but is the same race as the person who murdered your daughter should have to spend the rest of his life in a concentration camp is the argument?

Trump admin press conference tripled down on sending Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a concentration camp and are now talking about an unrelated murder of an unrelated person??

Obviously that belief isn't welcome in our spaces. My point is that a working class movement, packaged with social leftism, can speak to their economic realities to deprogram those beliefs. We won't get all of them and we might not even get most of them but it's the only move we have.

I hear you. I do. But where we are right now requires us to be forward looking and that means attempting to provide an alternative to ideologies like this. A working class vision that inspires class identity and unionism could win back some of the lonely men lost in 2024.

The country moved right as an anti incumbency bias because of inflation. It happened across the world. I am angry with voters but the question now is how they're won back and the answer is by fighting for the working class

They should. They also don't. But I think the ability to present your record cogently and combat sophists like Trump is an important skill for a politician to have and Biden didn't have it.

Even if you (wrongly) believe that some immigrants lack due process rights, what’s to stop the government from claiming that *you* are an undocumented immigrant; removing you to El Salvador; citing an β€œadministrative error”; and refusing to do anything to bring you back?

The answer is due process.

Sending innocent people to foreign prisons is human trafficking.

The president told a Central American dictator to build five more massive slave labor camps to hold US citizens.

What happened is that an open fascist was leading in the polls and the guy who inexplicably decided to run again in his mid 80s couldn't keep up with his lies and articulate his own vision. The only mistake is that he wasn't ousted a year earlier.

It's by definition a concentration camp and a despicable practice already, let alone if he tries to start sending US citizens

This is a human rights violation no matter where it happens, where they people are from, or what they did. No decent society should tolerate it. One main goal of the criminal legal and immigration systems is to make us believe some of us are less human than others, meriting inhumane treatment.

First of all, all evidence points to this man being a loving husband and father and an ordinary person. Their demonization of him should be condemned.

But in any case, due process is a fundamental right of EVERYONE in the jurisdiction of the US, not just fathers of the year.

Progressivism is the only hope we have to fighting back against the authoritarian fascism that's taken hold here and Bernie is a part of that movement. The people at the rallies are more than happy to hear him speak. Town halls are fine but what he's doing has merit.

15.04.2025 22:02 β€” πŸ‘ 4    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

What a bad faith point of view.

Bernie is holding rallies in places ignored during major elections to try to convince the working people that there is a vision for workers besides Trump's fascist policies. Politicians speak, it's kinda their main thing. And Bernie would absolutely tax himself.
