I had the pleasure of listening to Regina Spektor play her last tour date last night in Houston, TX, and it was an absolutely thrilling experience that gave me goosebumps.

I saw her at Stubbs BBQ in Austin, TX in 2007, but this was a more immersive and intimate experience.

I concluded that these are indeed paper wasps. They’ve been handled!

I kinda get that. Some folks like mayor Pete seem to thrive when immersed in enemy territory, but it’s not for everyone. If she’s leaving politics for the time being there’s no incentive to do it. I certainly wouldn’t. She pissed off her staffers for being thorough which makes me think it’s a fluke.

We really love our airstream (just got it in April). I don’t exactly want a larger daily driver, but it would definitely make me feel more comfortable. We’re playing with fire on the payload right now.

I already think I need upgrade me tow vehicle. Damn.

This was an entirely improvised, gummy induced success.

Blueberry puff pastry, with vanilla glaze I took some blueberries from the freezer, turbinado sugar, lemon juice, and simmered it all together in a sauce pan on the stove top. Then to dropped in a cornstarch slurry, turned up the heat to medium, and stirred until it thickened into a jam. I dropped a ladle full of the jam in the center of some scored puff pastry, and baked. When it was done, I topped with a glaze of water, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract.

These bad boys hit the spot.
