An Apple Newton MessagePad 2000 from c.1968

Doing a bit of clean up and decided it was time to recycle this 28 year old piece of technology... it works, amazingly enough, but only if it's plugged in since the battery won't take a charge. But... it still works!

Thirty years ago today, Apple shipped Newton Press for Mac OS … “making it easy to take important documents from their Mac OS-based personal computer with them on their Newton PDA.”

The second of Apple's Newton 'Messagepads', and released in 1994. Boasting a 320x240 screen, 20 MHz ARM processor, an PCMCIA slot for expansions, and 1 MB of static memory. Pretty nifty stuff!
