takumi and leo sitting at a table in a rose garden. takumi says "Hey leo.. Does it ever bother you that I don't really do anything romantic for you?"

Leo says "Hm. No." Takumi asks "Really? You don't sometimes wish I gave you flowers? Or greeted you with a kiss?" Leo replies "Really. I suppose I've always believed these acts that are deemed romantic are rituals, not genuine methods to convey love. And I'd be expected to perform them, not by my own desire, but merely to play my part as a proper suitor."

Leo again "I really am content with what we have. Everything I do with you is because I genuinely want to do it." Takumi then looks uneasy and starts thinking "Oh. I see. Leo thought he'd be married off someday. That makes sense. For some reason I never really thought about marriage, even though my situation was similar. Really, whenever I looked towards my future, I couldn't see anything in front of me. Not love, or family, or the fate of the kingdom. Just nothing.

I'm based in hawaii and it's been disappointing seeing local artists disappear from our con scene and be replaced by big mainland artists, i don't think the con should be locals only but we only have one major con and going to the mainland is Not accessible so what are newbies meant to do

when video games do this it's a huge reminder that they don't give a Fuck about the actual culture of this region and it just makes me sad. I expect fantasy to make changes from the cultural inspiration but u Know the inspo was just stereotypes here no genuine curiosity or creativity

ough the warm color palette.... they are beautifulll

anyway, i think this style of drawing is quite fun? very dramatic lights and darks. i think the strong green tone here is what i wanted in the piece w takumi holding a stake to leos chest but i added this blue and pink on takumi that i was rly precious about for some reason.
