For the record she was sick and on medication but after we finished she still had super watery poops which can be a sign of illness. Tests, fecal samples, and blood draws later and she's now perfectly healthy and fought off the illness but she drinks way more water than most birds her size still.

Didn't get me wrong the story is excellent but I had no idea what it was going to be. My friend and I ended up shitting on it the whole time (we were young) because we were expecting action sci-fi and mad a friend dragged us to it.

Years later I learned that it was actually very good.

You're not wrong. My company is 100% trying to lower headcount but my tiny team of 4 highly specialized people are caught up in it despite being safe (I'm fairly certain) from headcount reductions.

The dumb thing though? I'm remote for medical and leaving the US anyway so they'll go to an office just to hop on Teams meetings with their remote boss (me). I feel really bad. It will greatly disrupt their family life and make work more expensive. I've the best team and I feel I've failed them.

I think I lost the fight against Return to Office for my team. Company started implementing it 3 years ago and for 3 years I've argued for us to stay remote and had it be successful but that's ending. The entire thing is dumb. We're better remote and I've years of hard data to back it up.

I know this take will get people heated but I hated the original FFVII. Absolutely despised it compared to FFIV and FFVI. I will always prefer turn based to action games. That said, I love FFVII remake and Rebirth and as skeptical as I was about them I think they're just incredible games.

I want to play this because I really like Owlcat's other games but I also find every Warhammer 40k story in games so boring and never connect with any of the characters.
