I saw this strip in a book as a kid, but not until coming across it again today did I understand the context of what we now celebrate as Mid-Century Modern Design but what in 1953, when this first appeared in newspapers, was simply called modern or contemporary furniture or, perhaps, just furniture.

the thing is that “keep posting, post everything, ignore the people from the community you claim to be defending who are telling you that your post does more harm than good” only feels like an important argument to make if posting about it is the only thing you ever intend to do for that community

I suppose I should make a first post. I was finally able to deactivate my account over at the nazi bar site, even though I never used it much anyway. But now I'm here and hoping I can find some of the folks I used to follow!
