The reason the client couldnt make the two hour delay work was due to a commitment outside the tattoo that they made, on the day of a 12 hour session for some reason. Ridiculous.

> gets called a bitch, artist get vehemently misgendered, among other nasty commentary, ect ect.
Stories write themselves.
Good god this client sounds like a fucking nightmare to work with. I hope whatever poor soul takes on their project has a spine of steel.
25.03.2025 18:58 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0My brain is like ?????? 2 hour delay and suddenly you can’t make it to a 12 hour tattoo? Insane to me.
25.03.2025 18:55 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0But anyway, not my client. You guys are too sweet for that.
25.03.2025 18:55 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Was a refund warranted here? Yes!
Did this client fail miserably to structure their time by making other commitments when they’ve already committed to a full 12 hour day of tattooing? 100% yes. This client went into this booking with bad faith.
Everything I need to know about you! :)
25.03.2025 18:50 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0If an artist needs to push an appointment back by a few hours to take care of themselves, it’s done to ensure the work being permanently added to your body is the best it can be and that we’re in the best shape to do so.
25.03.2025 18:49 — 👍 4 🔁 0 💬 2 📌 0Artists aren’t machines. We have off days, we have health to manage, not everyday works out to a T. Not every appointment starts at 11am on the dot.
I hope, as a client, you go into appointments with as much compassion for our bodies as we have for yours.
“Bitch”???? Lmfao go lay down.
25.03.2025 18:43 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Then handle it in a legal standpoint, not making an artist beware on a social media app.
25.03.2025 18:39 — 👍 6 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0The pronouns were readily accessible to you. Not anyone’s problem if you’re too lazy to check. Sounds like you’ve had this issue before.
25.03.2025 18:39 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0Most definitely a refund is warranted. But this client went into this tattoo with bad faith and poor planning on their part. It most certainly does matter.
25.03.2025 18:38 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0You committed to a full day of tattooing. If my client comes in and says “I have work in 4 hours” then I’d send them home.
25.03.2025 18:37 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0So in this scenario, you would rather your artist pull up to the appointment exhausted and hungry and the work reflect as much, rather than wait two hours for the artist to be in good shape?
Are they entitled to the refund? Absolutely. But again, failing to see why 2 hours would break this rdv.
“Loosing an argument” “youre childish” word.
Anyway, his pronouns are in his bio and defaulting to they/them when his pronouns are readily accessible to you is still misgendering.
You’re completely entitled to your deposit back, I’m not arguing there. But I’m struggling to see how you, a client who committed to a full day tattoo, would be unable to attend the appointment two hours later if you were expected to be present for the appointment all day.
25.03.2025 18:33 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0So we misgender people we don’t like? Very cool of you
25.03.2025 18:31 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0“I don’t feel like doing it now” is a deeply ignorant assessment of why the tattoo was pushed back. But die on that hill, sure thing!
25.03.2025 18:30 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0How would the artist know in advance to set the appointment for the PM, he pushed the appointment back because of an unexpectedly long session the evening before.
Again, I’m failing to see why the clients would have other commitments if the full day was booked.
We can agree that /he/ might be tired. Show up to this conversation with basic respect for everyone.
25.03.2025 18:26 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I understand that, inconveniences aren’t making anyone happy. I have a hard time understanding why 2 hours of time would make or break this appointment. I’ve taken 2 hours to put a stencil on before, if you’re booking out a day then making other commitments is unwise.
25.03.2025 18:25 — 👍 3 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0when an artist asks me to come in later, I just go get something to eat.
Any good faith here would be understanding that an artist pulling up to a tattoo exhausted and hungry is only going to suffer the work. I promise you, 2 hours of your time is worth a lifetime of good work on your skin.
I’m curious to know. You were booked for 12 hours, but a 2 hour delay was not feasible for you. If you had booked the entire day out to be tattooed, what other commitment pulled you from getting the tattoo?
