My 9:24 Sunday morning vinyl is "Coal Miner's Daughter" by Loretta Lynn as I slowly try to wake up.

I think that was the point that the writer/director was trying to make. I get the point of the movie but seeing it once was enough.

My 8:39 pm vinyl is "Bridge Of Sighs" by Robin Trower which makes me want to learn guitar. I'll just settle for air guitar at this point.

My 1:51 pm vinyl is "Games, Dames And Guitar Thangs" by Parliament/Funkadelic guitarist Eddie Hazel which contains the best cover version of "California Dreamin'" which absolutely outshines the original version. Also check out "Maggot Brain" by Funkadelic if you love his guitar playing.

My 1:06 pm vinyl is "The Best Of Earth, Wind & Fire Vol. 1" because I've been obsessively listening rot them all week and the album contains "September" and "Got To Get You Into My Life" which is one of the best Beatle songs ever recorded.

He was basically a precursor to what they ended up doing with Daniel Craig. "License To Kill" is actually my favorite Bond theme song.

My 12:18 pm vinyl is "Romantic Warrior" by Return To Forever which is one of my favorite jazz fusion albums next to "Spectrum" by Billy Cobham. This album totally burns!!!

My 11:33 am post-oil change vinyl is "Rejoice" by The Emotions who were the backup singers for Earth, Wind & Fire. The album was produced by the late Maurice White and EWF are also some of the band members that play on the album.

My 10:07 am vinyl is "The Eugene Record" by Chi-Lights member Eugene Record which was recorded at different studios in Chicago. Record wrote most of the chart hits for The Chi-Lights. Very underrated R&B album.

My 9:07 am vinyl as I wait for my oil change is "After The Gold Rush" by Prelude which contains the best acapella version of the Neil Young classic.

My 6:49 am vinyl is "A Fantasy Love Affair" by Peter Brown which contains the classic hit "Do You Wanna Get Funky With Me?" which I used to hear a lot when I visited skating rinks when I was a kid during the seventies.

My 6:12 am vinyl is "Born To Sing" by comedienne Phyllis Diller because I have absolutely no memory of buying this. It must've been out of curiosity because I never knew she sang. The first song that she sings is "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" to give you an idea of what type of album this is.

My 5:34 am vinyl is the 1974 debut album of Bo Donaldson And The Heywoods which contains their song "Billy, Don't Be A Hero". Looking forward to seeing what the rest of their material sounds like.

Absolutely beautiful

I watched a documentary on her last year and thought it was fascinating. This was the first album by her that I've owned by her and I'm totally blown away by it. I just love her voice.

My 4:35 am vinyl is "I Put A Spell On You" by Nina Simone because I'm really loving this album and I can't believe that I never listened to her material before.

My 5:29 pm vinyl is "Portrait" by The 5th Dimension because I absolutely love their harmonies. Some of the material was written by Neil Sedaka, Burt Bacharach & Hal David, Dave Mason and Laura Nyro. The backing band was The Wrecking Crew. Rest In Peace to Lamonte McLemore who passed away last week.

My 4:45 pm vinyl is "Go On" by Mr. Mister from 1987 which was their best album but it didn't sell as well as "Welcome To The Real World". "Stand And Deliver" and "Healing Waters" are absolutely standout songs.

My 3:43 pm vinyl is "I Put A Spell On You" by Nina Simone which just arrived in the mail today. It's the first time that I've ever heard one of her albums in its entirety. Previously, I've only heard compilations of her work and I'm still new to her material. That's the joy of vinyl.

I actually think that aliens are too intelligent and so disgusted with America that they've stopped landing here.

My 4:24 pm vinyl as I wait for my wife to get off work is "Wonderwall Music" by George Harrison. The album is really trippy and embraces the Middle Eastern style. Eric Clapton also plays on a couple of tracks but isn't credited on the album. I've never seen the movie that the soundtrack comes from.

How can you be sure that he doesn’t stomp off and cry like a bitch behind closed doors. Wouldn’t put it past him
