Hello!

My lab is interested in understanding how healthy mammalian cells sense and react to mutant neighbours.

We do this by developing and using engineering biology tools to identify and manipulate neighbours of mutant cells.

We also love taking colourful microscopy pictures!

Exciting new preprint from our @cellbiol-mrclmb.bsky.social colleague Kate McDole and her postdoc @drkatiegoodwin.bsky.social. Beautiful imaging of the remarkable, and genome threatening, migration of primordial germ cells in mammalian embryos www.biorxiv.org/content/10.1...

On my way to the EMBL PhD symposium. Really excited about the topic Biology outside the box! However, I will miss my daughter’s Christmas play. That’s the reality of a mother scientist. Sometimes you sacrifice family, sometimes you sacrifice science, and hopefully you get the balance right
