Purification and characterization of recombinant human translation initiation factor eIF3 Eukaryotic translation initiation factor 3 (eIF3) is an essential factor in protein synthesis. In mammals, it is a ~800 kDa complex composed of 12–13 subunits. Biochemical and mechanistic studies of ...

Very excited to share this method from Ramakrishna lab!

Here we present a method for high yield expression and purification of active and stable human eIF3 (all its 12+1 subunits!), one of the most complex and unknown translation initiation factor.
Happy expressing!!

Hello!

My lab is interested in understanding how healthy mammalian cells sense and react to mutant neighbours.

We do this by developing and using engineering biology tools to identify and manipulate neighbours of mutant cells.

We also love taking colourful microscopy pictures!
