Fall- chilly days and
gray skies, but maple trees spill
sunshine on the ground.

It’s kinda hard to read about all the shitty stuff happening, so I’m going to tell you that I got to take 33 teenagers (my students) to a farm to learn about sustainable agriculture that feeds people who are food insecure.

I love, love, love the executive functioning hack for task initialization that is “I will do just a tiny thing.” I promised myself I would grade only 2 lab reports tonight and then eat ice cream. That was so easy I did 3 and might do another later.

I grew up an hour outside of NYC, my dad worked in the city. Whenever shows set in the city went out to my county it was framed as the freaking boonies, (rather than the reality: total suburbia) 🤦‍♀️

You know, the benefits of walking outdoors are actually true. It’s obnoxious that I have to be reminded of this only when I’ve gotten up the effort to go take one, though. Serious question, are there people who keep two kinds of butter in their fridge? Because there’s the butter worth putting on your bread or cooking with (salted) and there’s the kind baking recipes call for. What’s up with that?
