I feel like TVTropes gives the vibe of acknowledging that pretty much everything has versions of these tropes, from trashy b-movies to the highest regarded cinema.

I do appreciate how no matter how sincere, almost everyone is some form of freak. It seems to be a shared hallmark of both Kodaka and some of Uchikoshi's works.

But that's just my take and I know there's a lot of people out there who seem to enjoy the 'always-in-motion sakuga' bits of One Piece these days. Nothing wrong with that.

Like i know the animation is good but you gotta pull it back a bit now and still let people appreciate the translation of the manga panels, and have people know what's going on. I think I go on about it more now simply BECAUSE it has such good people working on it that i know it could be better.

Posting an anime animation related rant from Discord here because I felt like sharing and because I know the animators can really do good stuff on One Piece, it's kind of a bummer when i see a new action scene and end up being dissatisfied yet again

Like the entire concept is "we build this thing up in stages across the servers" which is a pretty easy concept to grasp.

There's some real great ones too, very entertaining. Because these all seem to be relatively new VAs I'm really impressed with some of the performances. Darumi is super entertaining and this is her VA's first role I can find which is super nifty.
