I'm not sure if it's because it's been a long winter, and because last year was so bad, but I'm pretty excited for this season...

Finally, on the importance of the fans:
"I think a lot of fans came to the stadium last season. The number has increased since 2-3 years ago, and the players have received a lot of love."
"I hope that the fans will enjoy watching the game while cheering at Incheon this year."
On the challenges in K League 2:
"I think consistency is key. If you look at K League 2 last year, there was no consistent team. The first-place team was beaten by lower-ranked teams."
"K League 2 is not an easy league. In order to get promoted, you have to show consistency."
On the team's mindset:
"All we can do is work hard for the team and get promoted. We are working hard with that mindset."
"The infrastructure was not good before, but it is very good now."
On last year's relegation:
"The thing I was most proud of while playing for Incheon was that we didn't get relegated."
"No matter how difficult the situation was, we endured and overcame it, but last year we couldn't do that."
On the new coaching staff:
"This coaching staff is all from midfield and is teaching me a lot about the roles I can play. I am learning a lot."
On seven of the first ten games being at home and home for being a priority:
"In order to get promoted, you absolutely have to win at home."
"We have to prepare well from the first game to give away teams the impression that Incheon's home is scary."
Interesting interview with Kim Dohyeok doing the rounds. Here are the highlights:
"The club is desperate to go straight back up. The aim is to win 20 games this season."
"I think our team will do well this season. We are having a good preseason."

Lee Myung-joo will continue as Incheon captain, with Kim Do-hyeok, Lee Juyong, and Min Seong-jun as vice captains.

The oldest-looking 23-year-old I've ever seen, by the way.
#KLeague
Rookie Kang Min-seong was known as "U-League Mugosa" during his time at Incheon University, and has risen through the ranks aiming to make it to the Incheon first team.
Taking the #29 shirt, it will be interesting to see how much game time he gets. Perhaps one for the future.
Striker Park Ho-min joins from Bucheon and adds height and strength to the Incheon front line. The 23-year-old started his career at Seoul, but only made one appearance before transferring. He played 35 times for Bucheon last year, scoring four goals.
12.02.2025 02:41 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 1Lee Ju-yong played for Incheon on loan in 2022 and returns for the 2025 season on a permanent deal.
The left back is no stranger to K League 2; he won the league with Asan Mugunghwa whilst completing his military service in 2018. Since then, he has played for Jeonbuk and Jeju.
Another player with K League 2 experience is Kim Myoung-sun. The 24-year-old defender started his career at Jeju before finding his feet at Cheongju FC.
He has played almost a hundred K League games, mostly in the second division, and was almost ever-present during his two years at Cheongju.
Lee Dong-ryul was a big part of Seoul Eland's promotion challenge last season, and has represented Korea and U20 and U23 level. The 24-year-old has appeared in 119 K League games, scoring 17 goals and getting 9 assists from the wing.
12.02.2025 02:41 โ ๐ 0 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Next up is Lee Sang-ki.
Sang-ki is a versatile full-back who has previously played for Pohang and Daegu. He joins from Gwangju and was a member of their 2022 K League 2 winning squad.
Here's a thread of Incheon's transfer incomings over the winter break:
We start with Mo Barrow. Mo joins from Abha in the Saudi league. He's a winger and is best-known for his time at Jeonbuk. He's also played for Leeds, Swansea, Reading, Nottingham Forest and Blackburn in the UK.
