After 18 to 24 months (depending on their chosen trade) they would graduate with a HS diploma or a GED, new and improved life skills, entry level skills for successful employment...A FUTURE! ....population than it ever was on Center. This War on Poverty Program was doing a great job of helping disadvantaged youth learn a trade and getting the skills needed to maintain employment. I have lost count of the number of students I met who came to Job Corps with literally the clothes on....

....understand what else could have been done. Cameras all over the campus. Sign in/out at the main gate. Security patrolling the grounds. I would have to show my visitor's badge to security folks I encountered while moving about the Center. "Safety" was a bigger problem with the off Center....

....was found to be meritless, the "Safety Violation" was still reported on the Center's monthly scorecard as if it had actually happened. Job Corps' demise was "justified" by the difficulty with maintaining safety. Having experienced the safety protocol at the North Dakota JCC, I do not....

...the Centers to meet DoL metrics. Everytime Centers would start meeting or exceeding the goals, DoL would change them. As an example, If a Center had a report of a sexual or physical abuse, fighting or verbal threats, the Center was required to file a "Serious Incident Report". If the incident....

The Job Corps program is axed! I was involved with this program as an off-site advanced trainer. I worked with the students who were receiving training in automotive skills. Super group of young people who just needed a chance at a future. BUT, DoL made it impossible for the contractors running....

Emphasize “your neighbor”. Continue holding the town halls where the Republican does not attend, but extract sound bites and flood the area media markets with ads using the sound bites to get the truth out. We can not win if we do not control the narrative.

....of ads calling out the lies, showing the corruption and profiteering that is going on. BUT these ads need to stay local. Show people being hurt by these draconian policies who live in that Congressional district.

.....vanishing, their relatives being kicked out of assisted living facilities. But it must be nonstop. Leadership needs to treat this like it is a tight election race and all stops are pulled on election ads. In an average five-minute commercial break, people need to see a four-minute barrage.....

... Legal AF and a host of others who are willing to mock, ridicule and just belittle the horde that is trying to give us a king. There needs to be a daily parade of people from MAGA world who are panicking at seeing their health care disappear, their food assistance....

Where is our push back? Democratic leadership needs to be holding press conferences every time he is “featured” on the news. They need to stand there and tick through every lie that was just spoken. They need to follow the examples set by Steven Colbert, John Stewart, Medias Touch, ........

We MUST get a grip on the messaging! An Indivisible study showed MAGA controlling 75% of the volume of messaging. Mainstream media is more than happy to show screen grabs of Trump’s latest rants. They are more than happy showing him signing yet another (probably illegal) Executive Order.

I am seriously considering looking for a new Senator. I have supported you in the past, but feel I no longer can. Your posting the obvious with no plan of action is disappointing. When will we see some serious effort to stop this madness? Put away the tea towels and bring out the knives.
