Marchenoir and her sisters, the one on the vespa wearing a souvenir jacket is Hellebore and the one holding a mask and acting out the John Everett Millais painting of Ophelia in the water is Peony. The character in the back is "The Mother of Masks". Strange moment of looking at this and remembering where I was while I worked on it, all of these posters were made in spring/summer 2020 and this one on June 13-15 2020. Iirc I had just been to a demonstration against police violence and had seen people of all ages, races, ways of life together protesting, and I was feeling such strong feelings of solidarity and hope. And also I was deathly afraid of Covid, sp of giving it to my elderly parents who I was in a pod with. Haaa

A Distraught Marchenoir sings a song of heartbreak in the ruins, above she is seen kissing her on again off again boyfriend Parveen Velvet, a demigod popstar. The three figures overseeing this are "The Aunties", ancient witches that live off of human misery, who ultimately plan to cause some final cataclysm that will make them so powerful that they will live forever
