The event was a great series of discussions between a small but close-knit group of experts from local institutions. It was a good opportunity for members of the community to come together to discuss issues freely with no agenda. We hope to do something similar again next year to continue dialogue!

A new development is that Satellite events are being held around the world to evaluate the broadcast talks, which were available within 24 hours on the OAI14 website - oai.events/oai14/.

OAI14, a week-long series of global Open Science webinars, took place on 10-14 November. 465 unique individual logins took place during the week and there were 819 participant interactions. There was an average of 164 participants per webinar.

It will be published in Open Access by UCL Press. As such, it is the first bishop's Register ever to be published in OA since publication began in the 19th century.

In 2 volumes, the Register charts the path the Church in England took to embrace Protestant reform - a major cultural change.

These are being organised in Australia & Hong Kong over 3 days, Switzerland, Germany, & the UK. In the section 'Views from around the World' at oai.events/oai14/, there are further presentations setting #OAI14 themes in a wider context. These emanate from the UK/Europe, China and Singapore.

#OAI14 has now come to a close. Over 500 individuals signed in to join sessions during the week. All the recordings will be available at oai.events/oai14/ going forwards. 5 watch parties have been organised to study the talks in greater depth - see oai.events/oai14/satell... for details.

Day5 of #OAI14 was devoted to the theme of research integrity. 109 attenders logged in online from a wide range of countries, including Poland, Germany, UK, France, India, The Netherlands, Portugal, Switzerland, Peru, Italy, Colombia, Belgium and Argentina.

- Support for African languages in Natural Language Processing
- Digital literacy training
- New search tools, looking at the INSPIRE-HEP database

- Building an Open Science infrastructure in Africa
- Managing large open data platforms
- PID infrastructure for Open Science in China
- Open Alex

The 3-hr session today was scintillating, as Open Science meets AI. The result was a plethora of ideas and initiatives which could enrich the research environment globally. The recording will be available on the #OAI14 website in 24-48 hrs. See oai.events/oai14/ for more details.

139 people signed in to the session from a variety of countries, which included Venezuela, Colombia, USA, Chile, UK, Latvia, Mexico, Italy, Argentina, Switzerland & Ecuador. The event was hybrid, with a face-to-face event in Geneva running simultaneously.

Day 3 of #OAI14 studied AI & Open Science.

Topics were:
- Small Language models
- The potential of the SA CC licence
- FAIR2 - built around AI readiness & responsible practices
- African languages in Natural Language Processing
- Digital literacy training
- New search tools in High Energy Physics

The challenges, however, are significant - technical, financial, political, strategic.

In both Africa and Europe, we have models for delivering cloud services over high speed networks. The use of PIDs in China shows how important consistency is to deliver Open Science solutions. Open Alex is making its presence felt, giving access to 462,000,000 works.

Day 2 of #OAI14 was devoted to Open Infrastructures - see oai.events/oai14/ with offerings from African and European research infrastructures, China and a talk on the global development of Open Alex. 115 people attended from places such as Germany, China, UK, India, Switzerland, Ecuador & Bolivia.
