Went to see the Samurai exhibition at the British Museum today. Was pleased to see a strong equine presence among the exhibits, including this beautiful saddle tree and stirrups. It was thoughtfully curated with a great mix of artefacts and tech to build the atmosphere. Thoroughly recommend.

Proof, if ever it was needed, that the phrase ‘special relationship’ should be confined to the annals of history. The UK needs to wake up to the mythology surrounding its relationship with the U.S. and ditch sentimentalism for pragmatism. Basically, if it ain’t serving you - bin it off.

Quite. However, I don’t think there’s ever been much love lost between the US Allied Sunni emirates and Iran, plus, UAE, Bahrain, Jordan all let US use their naval ports/air bases. Therefore, I can see that in Iran’s eyes, these attacks are not exactly indiscriminate.
