Can you provide a link to the printer?

What do you need help with?

I am thankful for the existence of the financial aid program and hope it can redress some of these inequities.

For those living on Centrelink payments especially, these ticket prices can be inaccessible. That is not really through any fault of PyCon but broader structural problems with our society.

For those who can afford the full-price tickets, I absolutely believe they provide fair value.

We live in a housing affordability and living costs crisis though, where many marginalised and economically excluded people may not have the financial resources left over to attend.

Oh, I understand. I keep an eye on conference budgets/spending year to year.

I do not mean to suggest the ticket prices are unreasonable nor unnecessary, just that it is unfortunate that many can still be priced out of attendance.

I guess I would have hoped for a student online pricing option too

$125 student tickets and $100 online tickets are a bit depressing...

It's really funny that at one point culture had to pretend that glasses don't make people look hotter. Hey foureyes you have an angel's face your heavenly gaze framed by glass as if it were art

have a lecture tonight for the IT ethics class where the lecturer said “specially abled” and never acknowledged my essay about why that’s bad. debating whether to bring it up like a rational adult or simply vibrate with feminist rage until i dissociate into the Zoom void. decisions. 🧍‍♀️📡🌀

A screenshot of a long academic-style forum post titled “When Language Harms: A Reflection on Disability Terminology in IT Ethics” by a student. The post is published on a university learning platform under the subject “Topics in Information Technology Ethics.” The post opens with a polite note explaining that it may sound assertive, and invites feedback. It is structured into several clearly labeled sections, including:

Opening and Personal Context – Expresses appreciation for the lecture but raises concern over the use of the term “specially abled.”

Problem Framing: Euphemisms and Erasure – Argues that euphemistic language like “specially abled” marginalizes disabled people and diminishes structural injustice.

Appropriate Terminology and Community Preferences – Summarizes preferences from disability advocacy groups like People with Disability Australia and Women With Disabilities Australia.

Acknowledging Good Intentions While Advocating Change – Recognizes that such language often comes from good intentions, but still causes harm.

Conclusion: Ethical and Inclusive Practice in IT Ethics – Encourages intentional language use aligned with community voices and disability justice principles.

The post includes extensive in-text citations and a formal References list citing academic sources, policy documents, and guidelines from disability organisations. The tone is respectful, evidence-based, and grounded in lived experience. A “Reply to Thread” button is visible at the bottom.

A person sitting on a bed holds a large clump of tangled brown hair in their hand, suggesting significant hair shedding or loss. They are wearing light blue jeans, and a laptop with visible cords sits on the bed nearby. In the background, another person with long dark hair sits facing a TV, with a reusable shopping bag and pink drink bottle visible on a small table. A standing lamp, mirror, and partially visible kitchen are also seen in the room, suggesting a lived-in, casual domestic setting.

A hand-drawn black-and-white cartoon shows a hallway with a numbered grid on the left wall (1 to 15), a large wire-mesh security door in the center, and a security camera above it. On the left, a stick figure man with a smile and raised hand says, “hey darl, u want sum sex??” in a speech bubble. On the right, a girl with long, messy hair and a distressed expression stands stiffly with clenched fists. The scene conveys discomfort and unwanted sexual attention in a shared apartment complex.

saw the weird sex pest from my building again. third time this week. he looked at me like I was holding a knife. good. he should. I’m holding something worse: social power and untreated mental illness.

This is extremely alarming. if Planned Parenthood locations are already cutting trans people off from life saving care based on lawless letters from the government, it won't be soon before most trans people in many states will need to DIY

Planned Parenthood
Arizona, Inc.

*On Friday, April 11, 2025, the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) sent a letter to Medicaid agencies directing them to not provide Medicaid dollars to any clinics that provide Gender Affirming Care services. At this time, Planned Parenthood Arizona is pausing Gender Affirming Care services as we continue to review and evaluate this order. We are committed to keeping our patients updated about the services we provide and will communicate further once we can provide more information.

Care. No matter what.

Shame on Planned Parenthood of Arizona for dropping their trans patients because of threats from Trump.

What happens when they make you stop providing abortions? Birth control? PReP? Gonna roll over then too?

These orgs complying are cowardly.

Discovered this morning that the founder of #KiwiFarms made a whole video chapter about me. 🥺

Features a #Reddit meme from years ago, celebrating @incelsco.bsky.social gendering me correctly in an unhappy 14-part Twitter thread.

The internet is so fun. Iconic. 🌸

ICYMI: the LNP ghouls have decided to pull funding from the QLD children’s gender clinic.

This despite a recent review recommending more funding, especially for mental health supports to help families.

Everyone is entitled to healthcare. That includes children.
That includes gender affirming care
