He took a deep breath and rang the bell before taking a step away to stand more openly in view, reaching into one of the pockets of the jacket and pulling out the book he purchased before, to hold it in his arms across the bushel of flowers he also brought.

Yahgie stood at the big door to Kazu’s mansion, his eyes lingered on the door bell as he fidgeted with the suit jacket he had on, an old one his dad had stored away. How his frame barely fit in it made that very clear.

“ Alright dumby, you got this. “

" Want you bad ? "

He turned on his hooves and shrugged.

" Or fear you ? Guess you don't care either way. "

" Why would that even cross my mind to impress you ?
Why would I WANT to impress you ? "

Yahgie didn't have anything to prove to her, and she was right, nothing he could do would impress a brute like her anyway.

" You don't have to be such a pain about it. "

He stowed the book in his jacket pocket again before crossing his arms.

" Just cause you're easy to shop for doesn't mean he is. "

( Yeah, my nerd . . . )

" It's not about it being a book. I'm worried he has it already, or won't be able to read it. "

He pulled book against his chest as he felt his cheeks warming up.

" What. . . What would you get him ? "

" I got Kazu something. "

He reached into his jacket and pulled out a book in a language he couldn't read but it was thick and well kept with a simple leather wrap keeping it shut.

" But I can't read it and. . . I don't know if he would even like this. I was hoping you would know . . ? "

Maybe yelling at the girl who can, has and probably will tie him up and beat him like a pinata isn't the best plan. But he's panicking about what he got for Kazu and if the boy would even like it.

He's shopping for a valentines gift for Kazu, currently holding onto a tiny book written in a language he doesn't understand but completely assumes Kazu can read.

It's DEFINETLY not something Kazu should be reading.
