The boiler is back on! Apartment is still cold though so another night in the hotel and hopefully its warmer by tomorrow morning... progress!!

Day 9! We're in a hotel. Leo is enjoying his first hotel stay after first being very unsure. It's warm. There is hot water. I can watch Jeopardy at 7pm. Downside is I dont have my PC or a good gaming laptop so Switch it is. But Leo is happy and warm.

Thanks. We finally caved and booked a pet friendly hotel. We can't leave Leo here on his own and he's not good with other pets (spoiled little bastard lol). I appreciate it though. Just taking it all a day at a time...

Well we did have space heaters but now with partial power we cant run a ton. We can only run like one. I'm in the bedroom trying to stay warm working under blankets. Hotels are expensive but I think we're finally going to go to one for at least two nights with Leo. Just so much to take too.

And on day 8 they said the piping is fixed and onto the next steps. BUT now we have only partial power and need an electrician to see what's happening so we cant even run all the space heaters because we dont have enough outlets. This saga has to end eventually right?

Day 7 no heat or hot water begins. It's a struggle to get out of bed because everywhere else is cold. I've been bullied into putting an electric kettle on my wishlist. Eventually I will get up to eat because I have an amazing husband making breakfast this morning.

Day 6 of no heat. I have finally gone to a friends place for a full hot shower. Almost cried. This means that I will absolutely cry when we have heat & hot water back at our place. But now know at least I could survive peasant baths & the medieval times should I ever time travel.

Day 5, no heat, but it seems it will be warmer outside. Woke up with a headache but feeling better after a nap and food. Only working a half day as well to try and recoup. Supposedly things will be fixed by the end of next week... the real question is how strong am I before I book a hotel?

In case you're following the saga. It is day 4, no heat. They hope to have things resolved by the end of next week... weather permitting and yet were possibly getting more snow next week. 2026 you were supposed to be my year or something...

Beginning day 3 of no heat or hot water. This is absolutely miserable and despite not really having money for a hotel I think I'm going to check in to one at least for a reprieve tonight. Spending this much to live here and deal with this nonsense is getting old...

Blizzard conditions and they had to turn the gas off because something happened which means no heat or hot water... thank goodness for space heaters and hot flashes. And a snow day so I can be stinky at home.
New York, I love you, but you giving me more and more reasons to rethink this whole thing..
