I just saw a Zillow commercial about 3 people buying a house together, it was supposed to be advertising their know your buying power system. How dystopian. Hey we know that nobody can buy a house alone anymore but we can help you know EXACTLY how much you cant afford it. This is not going well.

Ordered a cheap laptop on black friday sale to type because trying to hand write has been causing massive hand cramps. I think im going to stick to using pen and paper for srory boards, overviews, character development only going forward. Still im excited to be making progress.

I think I have decided to be a Crystal Palace fan. As an American who loves football I have always just rooted for random teams. Wrexham is an obvious one that I still 100% support but I never had a real PL team. After watching their last 2 games, Palace has played some extremely entertaining ball.

Football Manager 24 Mobile, I usually don't play mobile games but my computer died and I really wanted to play a football management game.

The novelty of someone living their entire life on camera would have carried it through the early years. Not to mention ive seen twitch streams pop off when someone was literally just sleeping, never underestimate peoples ability to find amusement in the weirdest of things.

I've been writing professionally for almost two decades (???) including publishing 7 books (and another forthcoming) and helping run a lit mag for 7 years. I've learned some important lessons in that time.

So I'm going to thread some of them here:

I only started publishing in 2023 at the age of 40. I ended that year with 4 pub’d stories and a completed MS that I began querying.

I began 2024 by signing with an amazing agent. And I’m ending it with 9 pub’d stories and 8 essays.

Sharing this for anyone experiencing doubt.

I have a co worker who said he hasnt read a book since highschool, he is still relatively young, so I talked to him about all of his interest to try to find a good book for him to get back into the reading pool.

Literally me. Someone then asked me how much I have written and I showed them 4 character outlines...

When a writer says they've outlined their story, what they really mean is they've envisioned 3-4 cool scenes they now need to somehow tie together into a plot
