It’s a good blind bidding rondel area control game. It just doesn’t get played for the following reasons - long play time & teach & table hog. I think the game is solid but it doesn’t hit the table as often cause it’s just not an easy to carry around casual experience

I mean Unmatched has to be hands down the best category for this.

Honestly this is a wonderful comic and so true …but it’s led me to downsize to a small backpack with one larger game and two smalls . It’s not worth carrying all that around

This is the reason I got rid of a lot of solo games unfortunately (looking at you final girl). While nice , thinking about setting everything up just to lose in quick succession just was never worth the effort. Playing with others brings so much more joy

#boardgames #boardgamesky today was Skymines (9/10) . I was really impressed by this investing game. I never had played Mombasa but the interaction on the main board and managing your hand and tracks were really engaging and brain burny

Con day 3 (part deux) : perch 8/10, gang of dice (8/10). Loved gang of dice push your luck dice chuckin glory . Won literally in the last roll of the game. Perch was great as well, very cute production with some neat area control where you place other players birds #boardgames #boardgamesky

Con day 3 : mesos (7/10) reef project (7/10) and dune imperium uprising (10/10). Dune is my favorite board game period. It’s always so tense and tactical and I ended up losing with a tiebreaker at 10 points. Every experience with it is a joy
