We need something like a βFascistpediaβ to keep track of those who collaborated with the regime.
Later, they'll be scurrying to hide their cowardice and moral rot.
A permanent record will guarantee enduring shame.
Letβs give them their own museum.
Yesterday I met with the Elbows Up for Climate Coalitionβa group of mayors warning about the rising costs of climate inaction. From wildfires to food prices, communities are struggling. Itβs time to invest in resilience and put young Canadians to work building a sustainable future.
10.10.2025 20:02 β π 11 π 4 π¬ 0 π 0Astonishing advance by the Greens, astonishing implosion of Labour. When will Starmer's government get the message that it is destroying its base with deeply unpopular, rightwing policies?
By chasing Reform, it legitimises the far right while delegitimising itself.
The brutal and repulsive content being out by the fascist regime isnβt just propaganda, itβs creating ready-made and easily-shareable materials for intimidation and stochastic terrorism.

Every time I talk with Jared, I'm wiser. We discussed how acts of kindness & helping others in your community can be powerful tools against fascism. And he highlights the resilience of the human spirit.π

Join me and @anatosaurus.bsky.social at 1pm today! We'll discuss the new Roberts Court term and Anat's vital new piece about why "Pollingism" has failed Democrats and voters (www.weekendreading.net/p/bringing-a...)

Right, and @anatosaurus.bsky.social, whom everyone should follow, has a great essay recently that covers that topic.
Democratic Party strategists treat public opinion as if it is calcified, whereas Republican Party strategists understand that it is SHAPED.

Absolutely essential explanation on why just because the most people care the most about pocketbook concerns doesn't necessarily mean that emphasizing those (especially to exclusion of other things) is a winning strategy.

I'll be talking about how the Trump regime manipulates the language of famous climate scientists to advance their fossil-fascist agenda.
If you're around, come out!

Bray is a historian at Rutgers who received death threats after landing on Turning Points USA's Professor Watchlist. As a result, he announced he was moving to Europe. And then this happened.
This kind of harassment and abuse of scholars is Charlie Kirk's legacy and it's only getting worse.
This evening, Israelβs government approved the first phase of a ceasefire deal, which a Hamas negotiator said came with U.S. guarantees that the war βhas ended completely.β
Many Palestinians are celebrating that this genocide might finally be at the beginning of an end -- but what comes now?

That is common sense, and yet Republicans just blocked my amendment to stop this blatant abuse of power. Another shameful abdication of duty.
A decade ago, Mark Carney gave a speech pointing out how biz and political leaders had no day-to-day incentive to address climate change, yet it was up to governments. This is extremely alarming. Prime Minister @mark-carney.bsky.social won the federal election promising to make us *less* depending on the US. Now we are hearing reports that he is offering up a CLOSER energy and military partnership in exchange for a trade deal... π§΅

Mine was an easy pick--but also hard since there were so many to choose from in HOPE IN THE DARK by @rebeccasolnit.bsky.social:
We write history with our feet and with our presence and our collective voice and vision.
All of us who are US citizens suffer from moral injury from the things done in our name, including the denial of basic needs this country can well afford to address, including healthcare to all immigrants. It would heal that moral injury to do this; it's an ethical act, not just a practical one.
