It certainly captured SheffieldSteel- the original modest application for a feasibility study costing a few quid envisaged an exhibition box & performance space to celebrate SoundofSheffield. But the Funding panel insisted the team needed £1m plus for F-study & grand design to secure funding.

Sadly very little to No research on older people & #EDS or its interaction with other conditions. I can understand that in relation to say Marfans because historically diagnosis was poor & life expectancy impacted. But not the case with EDS.

The latest police stats on hate crimes are incredibly worrying. We can't just stand by as communities of faith are targeted on Britain.

With hip being bone-on-bone doing exercise (especially when like me you are a Zebra - and have @ehlersdanlos.bsky.social ) can be tough. Aqua-Aerobics almost daily has triggered significant weight loss & strengthened & lengthened muscles in legs.

Prevalence & differential progression linked to ethnicity (or genome) is also observed. African-American more likely to have knee issues vs White American hip. I refused hip surgery. My gran & mum both done. Over last year been doing Aqua-Aerobics 5XWk, lost 32Kgs & will have surgery later.

That’s the problem- long list of members who have the same story: no tangible help - even down to Reps being no show at Grievance hearings. To be fair Union density sinking fast.

Great people are taking to the streets: but Unison - think you also need to be dealing with the rising tide of hate in the workplace- #NHSEngland - where is the support litany of Black, ethnic minority & Disabled staff bringing grievances, fully paid up members NO REPS in sight!
