This week has been a lot. I haven’t felt this much anxiety since 2020. Hubs and I went to a local tea shop today where I read and sipped tea. Totally calmed me down. In these times, you must take time to heal yourself. The #resistance needs us all.

I can remember going to local Pequot and Wampanoag powwows when I was a kid. I asked my mom who the man was that all the shirts and flags saying “Free Leonard” was. That was over 40 years ago. Wow.

My husband is currently outside shoveling while in flip flops, cargo shorts, and a short sleeve shirt. If that doesn’t say New England dad, I don’t know what does.

I love all! I use my kindle mostly because I can increase font and can easily read in bed while not bothering the hubs. I listen to audiobooks in the car. And still have shelves upon shelves of paper books!

In between finding out about all the fuckery of the current administration, I’m freebasing faerie smut books. Cheating husband so new romance? I’ll pass. Missing child mystery? No thanks. Govt needs saving by 007? Nope. Faerie warrior on a dragon slaying evil beasts? Now that’s my escape. #booksky

I can’t imagine. How do people take care of elders out there? We don’t want to put mom in a nursing home. We are working hard to keep her home. It’s just not sustainable.
