Closest thing I had was working at a Thai restaurant for a summer in the 90s. They had one tape of Thai music which just played on loop, always. Long enough to not repeat during the average sitting, short enough to drive me 🤪

I did a rough calculation once after I released Mutable, a 6 track album. For me to earn as much from someone streaming as someone who bought a CD, the streaming listener would need to play the album in full 300 times...
