Same vibes as like... interviewing someone for a programmer job but they cheated on the take-home assignment and can't actually explain why it works the way it does.

A real dev will have a story for any meaningful project, about how they tried different things and discovered a cool trick to make it faster or whatever. AI "devs" just talk about the end result like they're in a Price Is Right showcase. All the understanding is gone, and it shows.

I saw an author on here explain that real writers will spend hours explaining their characters and why they did things, while AI "authors" can't tell you anything meaningful, because they didn't write it. I've noticed similar for coders. It creates an uncanny effect in how they describe their work.

I love this site and its manually curated chronological feed, because you can read someone's posts and go "damn this mfer is cooking" and click Follow, and then from that point on every time you open the homepage you'll see more cooking.

(That's not to downplay the smuggling and the impact it's having on people, which is all very real and A Bad Thing.)

Knew it was Lake City even before finding the articles. I think they make a huge chunk of American military grade ammo in general, so it would make sense that the cartels would have a lot of it if they're specifically trying to source "the good stuff". Even larper types over here have tons of LC.

There's a flip side to this: chat can be absolutely horrid, especially left to their own devices. I've seen VODs where there's just a carousel of clowns coming through, trolling or backseating or making snippy remarks or hijacking attention. The only sane response is harsh moderation and bans.
