(3/3) Another great aspect are alliances, modifying the victory conditions. The game plays beautifully and is enjoyable – for a prototype, we had remarkably few questions or issues.

(2/2) Besides the map-wide scramble to capture the most cities and villages, there are neutral units, and they can be a lot of fun and challenge. Another interesting element is sowing unrest, which can seriously threaten the rear areas that seem safe.

(1/3) Vampire Lords (gamefound.com/pl/projects/...) is an area control game. Each player controls a different Lord, distinguished by their abilities & action cards. Cards can be played as army/vampire movements or events. We can also "burn" cards to trigger one-time, powerful actions.
