Best slayers are now all short range so supports are swapping to midlines. Outside of pro, there just isn’t a lot of competition for that slot and vac after its buffs is really annoying.

Tri is taking some Ws with comps that don’t have pencil as their anchor (liter, bow). It’s a very consistent frontline check that can stack into aoe in comps (very important rn) and compared to dynamo and other aoe weapons currently it’s not as punishable as it’s very fast and not laggy.

That’s an interesting way to look at the weapons. My list is based on jp top level zones only (see other replies).I think your list is decently accurate in accessing the cooler weapons in terms of what they can do, but think of it more in terms of slotting them into comps and unique strengths.

For context, this is based off of top level jp zones only (see other replies). The reason for some weirdly high placements for sth like ntri and dapple and relatively low ones like zap is bc of usage rate and the former two taking the spotlight in non-pencil comps.

I mean it’s alrdy low enough imo, it’s on par with 96 and that’s not a super optimal cooler gun either. Edit is still solid but def a bit overrated back in the day.

I can see one-tricks making it work, but in the context of this post it’s based off of top level jp zones only sooo… (legit 0 usage rate).

Cooler weapons in the current meta:
One good thing that the 11.0 changes did that I don’t see ppl talk about is that it made a lot of cooler weapons more viable. (8/9 to be exact, rip H3) Pencil is still on top, but this allows for more interesting comp building and other anchors to be picked.

Divs are just a label TOs put on us for their convenience, not much else.
That being said I hope some self proclaimed ‘mid-level’ players don’t quit the game when they get div5+ and realise they can’t win low ink. /sarc
