With bus and train around France, I'm finally back in a place I last visited on a school trip somewhere in 1989. Bayeux, Arromanche and hopefully Asnelle tomorrow. This place toyed so hard with my emotions as a 15 year old schoolgirl learning about the atrocities and successes of war.

I took part long distance in my family's secret Santa. Gifts have arrived in amazon packaging and my husband had the idea that they could just stay in the amazon packaging. I told him that today while I'm at work, thus out of the house that he is to replace the amazon packaging with gift wrap.

I think I finally completed my unofficial inburgering in the Netherlands today. This week I made poffertjes for the first time, very successfully too. Today I brought home a square meter of coconut doormat on my bike, perched it on the saddle and walked it home. Here's to the next 13 years in NL.

Felt a little like witnessing history. I never got the hype of twitter when it first began but after later getting in to using it I'm sad that it disintegrated into the sham it is now. Thank goodness for some clear BlueSky.
