L. stagnalis is one of multiple scientifically correct anatomical models of animals that @anitomical.bsky.social will launch in 2026 together with its Comparative Anatomy Application. The application offers on demand access to anatomical knowledge through 3D visualisation.

I am excited to share the #Lymnaea stagnalis #genome paper! Our phylogenetic analysis uncovers a remarkable expansion of receptors (GPCRs) in parallel with the evolution of simultaneous #hermaphroditism in #gastropods. We also find specific expression of receptors in either male or female glands.

Indeed a fantastic workshop thanks to a lovely group of scientists!
